HUGGING MONSTERS
2002
CROMSTRIJEN, HOLLAND
2,60 METER
BRONZE ON A STEEL BASE

This is a sculpture about self-willedness that refers to the mutual connection of weirdness in people. That is why Hans Mes chose two monsters that hug each other without looking at each other. The sculpture expresses an alliance that is strong and comprehensive because of its absurdity, a monster alliance in both a symbolical as well as a figurative way.
