From July 21 to October 21, 2017, Hans Mes was invited to create a series of seven giant sculptures called “Magic Brushes.” They will float in the wind and float on a lake around the moonlight open-air museum in the ancient folk house of Bengbu, Anhui Province, China. These realistic brushes range in height from 4.5 meters to 6 meters and are made of glassfiber, epoxy and stainless steel. The basin is being rebuilt. In the end they will be placed in the water. This is Bengbu’s first international sculpture project.
