BackIn museum DR8888 in Drachten, Holland, Hans Mes as a curator organized an exhibition of artworks from young talented Chinese artist in the age between 9 and 22 years old, studying at a private art academy in Dalian. Besides that he initiated an “Art Battle”, in which these upcoming talents from China competed with young artists from the North of Holland. This remarkable event drew attention of TV, radio and press. Above that the Consul en Cultural Attachee of the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands also attended the opening ceremony. Philips Consumer Electronics Drachten facilitated. Hans Mes also brought this group in contact with several aspects of Dutch art and culture in the cities of both Groningen and Amsterdam.
